Review by hotel critic
Onsen Yado Mizuguchi is a delightful retreat nestled along the serene river in Shuzenji, offering a warm traditional ambiance perfect for unwinding. The private onsen was a personal sanctuary, providing a tranquil escape to soak in the healing waters surrounded by nature's beauty.I thoroughly enjoyed the Asian breakfast, a delightful blend of flavors that awakened my senses each morning. The fresh fish, eggs, and pickles were a true culinary delight, prepared with care and showcasing the authentic essence of Japanese cuisine. The rooms were spacious and comfortable, adorned with casual yukatas that added a touch of authenticity to the experience. The gentle murmur of the river outside lulled me to sleep each night, providing a peaceful backdrop for a restful slumber. The attentive staff, despite limited English proficiency, went above and beyond to ensure my stay was seamless and memorable. Their hospitality, coupled with the ryokan's serene atmosphere, created a harmonious retreat that left me rejuvenated and deeply connected to the peaceful rhythms of Japanese tradition.
